    Sometimes it's the small gestures that penetrate most deeply. Standing there on the sidewalk, waiting to perform my routine send off, I suddenly heard an urgent knocking on the glass. I looked up to see the boy in the window -- yes it was him! -- waving vigorously at me, an intense look of recognition upon his face.....

    The Gospel we listen to is far different than the Gospel our grandfathers believed in. We decry the old brush arbor revivalists as hard, judgmental men who did not understand the love of God, and we have traded their message of repentance and holiness for one that is a kinder, gentler approach which promises love and peace and prosperity.

    What was the underlying conflict between Jewish and Greek philosophy? In a similar vein, what bothered the Greeks? They had political control and what appeared to be clear military superiority. Their culture dominated the world. What was it about the stubborn band of Jews in Judea that so irked them? What pushed them to go so far as banning another people's religion?

    Bodily exercise is much like spiritual exercise. Both are needed to keep the blood circulating.

    Can any woman measure up to the models in Vogue? Out of Vogue It would be helpful for girls to grow up with the refrain, "God created your beautiful face." Unfortunately, most of us haven't been exposed to such notions. Instead we are given images of air-brushed models and are appalled when natural faces do not measure up. Most of us deduce that we are deformed if we don't look like we waltzed off the glossy pages of Vogue.
