A 24 Carat Treasure

Good morning! This is the day the Lord has made, rejoice and be glad in it.
I have heard people talk about developing a taste for the "finer" things in life. Fine homes, cars, foods, clothes, travel and so many other things. They always look for the name brand item, because it is "finer." We should be that way about the Word.
"Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold. Therefore I esteem
all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way." Ps 119:127-128
What if the Word of God were regarded in our life as being better than gold? What would happen in our relationship with God if we regarded His Word to be more precious than money, riches, prestige or anything else of this earth? The Word is a 24carat treasure!

Hey Don,
My name is Chris and I'm Shelisa's cousin from the other side. I saw you in here and was really blessed by the scripture you quoted and the thought that it inspired. You truly gave a very thirsty soul a much needed drink of water. I was wondering why you chose 16 carats instead of 24... I think that the purest gold in terms of what a person can get in jewelry is 24. Just fyi... Love you and hope to hear more of these blogs! |
