- We go through trials and situations in our life, not just to learn things or have God teach us a certain lesson from them but for something greater. For every situation we are in, for every trial we may have to endure, for every type of bondage we may be fighting, therein lies an opportunity for the glory of God to be shown. So instead of praying, "Dear God bring me out" we need to start praying, "Lord let me be a vessel; an opportunity for your glory to be shown." What we don't realize is that OUR chains or OUR trouble could be the salvation for somebody else. How does that happen? How can my bondage be somebody else's victory? It can be easy to forget what's going on around you when in your struggle, and what we don't realize is who is watching. Could be a new convert, a family member you've been praying for, maybe a co-worker, or an already saved friend. All the while they are watching you fight the wind of your storm, the shaking of your foundation, the trying of your faith, and what you don't realize is God is taking your time in the valley to put somebody else on the mountaintop. He is using your situation as an opportunity to show his glory to a dark world, to break the chains of that hurting family member or struggling new convert. They watch you without you noticing but all the while new strength is being brought back into that backsliders spiritual man, understanding to that new convert as their questions are being answered by your responses to your crises by holding on to Jesus. All of them realizing how real your God is by your relationship with Him, and his strength bringing you through your fight. Lets not look at our times in the valley as just another lesson to learn or a fight you just got to make it through, but lets look at them as opportunities to bring victory in somebody else's life.
