Ever had a child that just didn’t like veggies
or maybe something else on their plate and you made them sit there and sit there until they ate it?
I had one... a sweet little girl... let’s see I think she was about 3 or 4 when this story takes place (it was so many years ago).
Everyone had finished eating... except her. She was refusing to eat the veggies. Usally I gave in and didn't make my kids eat veggies.. but decided that to be a good mother..... she had to start eating them.
SO, I told her she could NOT get down from the table until she ate them. I was ready to wait her out this time. This time I wasn’t going to let her down from the table until she ate at least some of those veggies. She finely siad a small ’ok’ .
I turned to walk out of the room ’thinking that I had finally won this small on going battle’... but, I quickly turned around, when I heard her voice. I saw her head hanging low... and then I knew I had lost the battle.
I heard her sweetly singing in a low.. deep.. ....voice, "NOBOBY KNOWS THE TROUBLES I’VE SEEN.. NOBOBY KNOWS MY SORROWS".........stop laughing and admit it, you wouldn’t have made her eat those veggies after that either.
