A powerful, wealthy businessman surrounded himself with secretaries and a staff of assistants. No one could easily gain access to his office.
There was one exception though, a little girl with dimples and lots of freckles. She had the audacity to march past all his employees, right into her daddy’s office. With complete trust, she climbed up into his lap, giving him a great, big hug.
As God’s children, we can do the very same thing. It is not difficult. There is no protocol to follow. We can boldly come into His presence and tell our “daddy” – our heavenly Father exactly what we need!
Dear Lord, help us to realize just how approachable You are. You invite us to come “boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of trouble” (Hebrews 4:16).
