Having fled Hungary in December of 1956 at age 8, (with parents, sister, grandmother, aunt and cousin, a total of seven of us), and continuing on to the U.S. after a 2-year stay in Austria, has declared me “unusual” in the opinions of many people, Then, in 1974 being introduced to the U.P.C.I. As a lukewarm and mostly backslidden Jew adds to the rarity. All told, I actually calculated to have traveled roughly 18,000 miles total before I found Jesus, and then He wasn’t lost, I was! I can talk about the things that Gad has done for me, about my 22 year career as an over-the-road trucker, my 12 year career in the food service industry, and other trades in the which I had dabbled, and my patchy walk with God in the Holy Ghost since September of 1974. I can also talk about a failed marriage, a successful marriage of some 33 years and a post-widowhood marriage which is currently ongoing.
