"Where do you come from?"

"Where do you come from?" I asked the green blade of grass growing.
"Oh, I don’t know" was the reply. "But I know where I am going, I’m going up to meet the sun".
Next I asked the pretty yellow flower growing..."Where do you come from?"
"Oh, I don’t know" was the reply. "But I know where I am going, I’m going up to meet the sun".
Last I came to a tall oak tree growing, and asked "Where do you come from?"
"Oh, I don’t know" was the reply. "But I know where I am going, I’m going up to meet the sun".
Later that day as I crawled up into my grandmother’s lap, I told her all that the grass, the flower and the tall oak tree had said.
Her sweet reply, "Oh, it doesn’t matter where you come from my dear, as long as you know where you are going. For you see, I too am going up to meet the SON. To meet Him in the Sweet By-n-By"
