The other day my family was driving in our van, and I said something to my husband, yes, I was nagging him about something, and God spoke to me and showed me something, and I felt like it was definitely worth sharing, it was a revelation for me, I could be just slow, but I thought it was cool. In Matthew Chapter 7:3 the Bible talks about us looking at our brother and seeing the mote in their eye, but we didn’t consider the beam in our own eye. In this verse the word mote means speck and the word beam means plank..wow! We look at those around us and see their faults and problems, but we don’t even bother taking care of our “stuff”. What God showed me was this, when we see something in someone it is because it is a major hang up in our life! I nag my husband about a few things and after God showed me this I started reflecting and realized that these are all things I struggle with more than he does. I feel like we could go to our brother/sister and acknowledge our issues then we can work them out together, that is one reason the Bible tells us to confess our faults one to another, a lot of times we play games we act one way at church and one way at home, the way we act at home is who we really are…honesty is
becoming something that is lost these days in and out of church, we need to be who we are, because God made us that way! If you are like me and sometimes wonder why He made you the way He did, let me answer that question. SO YOU CAN MINISTER TO THOSE THAT FEEL THE EXACT SAME WAY YOU DO!!! The beam in our eyes is there to be an encouragement, because when we get through that beam others will see the victory we with God’s help have won, but when we don’t realize the reason for the beam in our eye then a lot times we become discouraged when really God has allowed you to look into a mirror so you can have victory over those things, and then you will move even more ahead in your ministry! What we do though is rather than look at it as an encouragement we begin to get jealous and point out others “faults”, when God is trying to show us our areas of need I truly believe with all my heart that this is a trick of the devil to put division between the saints, and sadly it is working! But when we will all work on our beams we then will be able to see clearly (look at them with love), and then we can lend a hand and a prayer to help them walk in victory too! Just remember God put the specks and beams where He did for a purpose and we need to focus inward instead of on others to find those purposes! I love y’all…
