We all have seen people who have no love, compassion or even mercy on our fellow man. They walk pass them, and look down their noses on them they don’t show any love for anyone. Why are we here on this earth if not to show the love of Jesus? Did you know that love heals; love mends a lot of broken relationships, marriages, and friendships. When we love someone we will go the extra mile for that person. No one is pulling our arm to tell us to love that person. We shouldn’t be told to love, be a person of compassion, and merciful to someone in need. God helps us all to be more like Him. He was our example to show love, mercy and compassion to all mankind. Some of you know this, and maybe some of you don’t. But, if you truly desire to be help the Lord will open a great effectual for you. It was about three years ago when my hours were changed at my work. My hours changed from working 8:30 AM to 5 PM for almost seventeen years to 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM, and then a few months later, it changed to 3:30 PM to 12 AM. These hours hindered me from going to weekly church services. The Lord had something more for me to do for others. I always want to be faithful in all that He wants me to do. Over three years ago when my work schedule changed, the Lord was opening a new doors for me to visit with the elderly, and to be their friend. Our words can be a motivator, whether we realize it or not, whether you mean to or not. Our words can bring life, or it can cause someone to take their own life. While we all still alive, let’s make our days count for something!- Lynne Conley My life consists of working full-time at a pharmaceutical company and teaching Sunday school (Kindergarten class) My desire is to encourage others. My writings aren’t fancy words, but they are from the Lord. So many people are hurting, and I want to help all I can while I am still alive. My passion is elderly people and those who are shut-ins. There is a nursing home, Carrington Place, in the next county from where I live. After working 8-10 hrs a day, I go and spend time with those who have no one or just to talk and hear their stories every Thursday after work. Every Thursday is Thankful Thursday to me. Because I am so Thankful for this great calling the Lord has given me.
