Even though we may have a great devotional time with the Lord in the morning, it can be so easy to "forget" Him as we all are challenged throughout the day with our jobs, our chores, and the everyday cares that happen during the day. But, just as we cherish and display old photos and memorabilia around the house, and in our office space at work, these remind us of important people in our lives, special events, special moments that we will cherish for along time. We can and will recall of all those cherished moments. I love my pictures of my family, close friends, and special times I have spent with them. It’s brings to my heart so much joy when I look at them. Most people cherish and display old photos and memorabilia around the house to remind them of special people in their lives, so do I! Some of the pictures and keepsakes are all I have left of a passing parent, loved one, or a close friend. One Thursday morning about three and half years ago, I visited an elderly friend of mine, Mrs. Looney, which her children, grandchildren, and friends call her Maw; she was a resident in the Carrington Nursing home facility in Wytheville, Virginia.
Our words can be a motivator, whether we realize it or not, whether you mean to or not. Our words can bring life, or it can cause someone to take their own life. While we all still alive, let’s make our days count for something!- Lynne Conley My life consists of working full-time at a pharmaceutical company and teaching Sunday school (Kindergarten class) My desire is to encourage others. My writings aren’t fancy words, but they are from the Lord. So many people are hurting, and I want to help all I can while I am still alive. My passion is elderly people and those who are shut-ins. There is a nursing home, Carrington Place, in the next county from where I live. After working 8-10 hrs a day, I go and spend time with those who have no one or just to talk and hear their stories every Thursday after work. Every Thursday is Thankful Thursday to me. Because I am so Thankful for this great calling the Lord has given me.
