Jesus was moved by compassion and love in so many stories recorded in the Word of God. The definition for compassion is: sympathetic consciousness of others' distress together with a desire to alleviate it. (Merriam- Webster) Jesus didn’t turn anyone away that came to Him.  Cana was a town in the high ground of Galilee, a few miles north of Nazareth.  Mary, the mother of Jesus, his disciples and many of his followers were invited to a wedding in Cana. The host ran out of wine, Jesus told them to fill the containers full of water.  In the
Word of God it records, ‘’ And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece’’. (John 2:6 KJV) They weren’t  listening or attentive to Jesus. The mother of Jesus asks them to do what Jesus asked of them. Jesus asked the chief waiter to draw out of the pitcher. After the chief waiter tasted of the water it turned into wine. The chief waiter didn’t become conscious, how the water in the six water-pots turned into wine. The disciples had so much faith in Jesus after He completes His first miracle to reveal his glory.
